The Mayan ruins of Kabah are 12 miles south of Uxmal and consist of intricately ornamented buildings raised up on artifical platforms. All of the edifices are finished with carvings and reliefs in the "chenes" style of Mayan design. Kabah was a major ceremonial center for the Maya.
